How to download my ps4 games on my pc

I then installed about 30 disc copy games i had deleted of my internal hd awhile ago to save space. My game saves were still there. However, when i load the games ive re installed onto my new external hard drive i cant access any of my saves. Ive platinumed some of these games and id like to pick up where i have left off. When i launch the games though it shows no gake saves and i have to start back at square one.

Please help. If I download and install my games on to the external hard drive, can I play them directly from it? Or do I have to transfer them to the internal hard drive first? Please advise.
